O'Neill launches the latest generation of its groundbreaking Psycho series with the Psycho Regenerate (RG8) wetsuit. The Psycho RG8 is made using the company's Ultraflex RG8 neoprene, which is recycled from thousands of pounds of scrap neoprene and old wetsuits returned to the O'Neill warehouse and donated from around the world. On average, 30 to 40 percent of the neoprene used to build a wetsuit never makes it out of the factory, resulting in needless waste. O'Neill and its global partners found a way to refine this scrap neoprene and re-introduce it into other materials, which it then used in making the Psycho RG8. The wetsuit fits and functions just as well as traditional neoprene wetsuits, but adds the "reduce, reuse, recycle" mantra known the world over to eco-conscious consumers.

The Psycho RG8 wetsuit is made of a super-gooey Ultraflex RG8 neoprene. O'Neill also offers the F.U.Z.E. closure system, which takes the best aspects of the company's Z.E.N. zip closure found in traditional Psycho wetsuits and moves them to a front-zip entry. The F.U.Z.E. system has been tested by O'Neill's top team riders in the most frigid waters across the globe, and all reports point to yet another groundbreaking addition to the Psycho family. Other features include a fluid seam weld on the outside to lock water out, a back-panel ultraflex firewall, Krypto Knee Padz, and Plasma wrist and ankle seals. The Psycho RG8 is available in 5/3mm, 4/3mm, and 3/2mm thicknesses.
About O'Neill Wetsuits
Jack O'Neill opened his first surf shop in 1952 in a garage across the Great Highway in Santa Cruz. He shaped a few balsa surfboards and sold accessories like paraffin wax and vests he glued together from neoprene. When the vests started selling, Jack decided to go into the wetsuit business. The business grew through the years, and by 1980, Jack's surf shop had morphed into a thriving international company that dominated the world's wetsuit market. The company is also one of the market leaders in beach lifestyle sportswear in the U.S., Japan, and Europe. Jack's son Pat O'Neill now runs the company, freeing Jack to surf, sail, and work on a variety of environmental projects, including saving the Great White Shark from extinction.
