MOOCY Kayak Sun Shade Canopy Installation
Follow these simple steps to set up your canopy safelyno instructions or videos required!
1. Unpack & Check All Parts
First, confirm your kit includes:
1 collapsible frame
1 waterproof Oxford cloth canopy
2 elastic straps
1 storage bag
Tip: Lay all parts on a flat surface (e.g., grass or boat deck) to avoid tangling.
2. Expand the Frame Gently (Critical Step!)
Ensure all frame hinge connections are fully locked.
Best with 2 peopleone holds each end of the frame to avoid sudden spring-back.
Hold the frames straight ends and slowly pull them apart. The semi-circular top will naturally expandDO NOT force or bend the poles sharply (this causes breaks!).
3. Attach the Canopy to the Frame, Pull the canopy tight over the frame
4. Mount to Your Kayak
Locate the rod holders on your kayak (fits 9-11FT kayaks, ideal for 10FT Pelican models).
Insert the frames 2 bottom tips into the kayak rod holders.
Use the 2 adjustable straps: Attach one strap to each canopy corner, then loop the strap around your kayaks handles/cleats. Pull the straps tight to lock the canopy in place (adjust sliding buckles for height).
5. Quick Storage (Under 1 Minute!)
Release all straps and remove the canopy from the frame.
Gently push the frames ends toward each otherthey will collapse into a compact shape.
Fold the frame in half and slide it, along with the canopy and straps, into the storage bag.

Wind warning: Use only in calm to light wind (3 mph). Strong wind can turn the canopy into a sailremove it immediately to avoid damage.
No brute force: Never bend the poles to fit the canopythis snaps the metal. The frame expands naturally if handled gently.
