• MAXXIS FOREKASTER: Redesigned from the ground up in 2022, the Forekaster is tailor- made for mid-travel (120mm-140mm) trail bikes. Slotting in between our XC and gravity treads, the Forekaster is light, fast and grippy.
• 3C MAXXTERRA: An intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.
• EXO+: Builds on our EXO technology with the addition of a small butyl insert around the bead. EXO+ is ideal for trail riding in moderately rocky and rooty terrain, and is also suitable for lighter weight e-bikes.
• E50: For heavier, more powerful, and faster e-bikes, Maxxis offers E50 rated tires. E50 tires are approved for use up to 31 MPH.

The original Forekaster was designed as a wet weather option for XC; while the new version is aimed squarely at modern short travel (100mm-130mm) trail bikes - aka the downcountry segment. Intended to be a Goldilocks tyre; the new Forekaster rolls fast but also provides solid cornering and braking traction in a broad range of trail conditions. The SilkShield layer runs from bead-to-bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls. Combined; these two materials create EXO+ which improves tread puncture protection by 27%; sidewall durability by 51%; and resistance to pinch flats by 28% Tubeless Ready Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures; which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tyres: Tubeless Road; Tubular; and Tubeless Ready. The use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tyre will void the warranty.
