The Wind 42 inherits many of Fulcrums patented technologies, to offer a superior ride feel compared to the previous generation. Handling and responsiveness characteristics have been improved to make these versatile and comfortable wheels perfect for modern riders. The Wind rims are taller and wider than the previous generation. At the same time, overall weight has been reduced, thanks to the new mix of carbon fibers and their placement within the mold. The rim height has been raised to 1.654 in respectively, with a 0.906 in inner rim channel to accommodate larger tires. The patented DRSC (Directional Spoke Coupling) system is used in the construction of the rim to provide greater wheel stiffness and durability. MOMAG mounting technology allows for a 2-way fit tubeless rim, without the need for tubeless rim tape and the presence of the traditional hook guarantees maximum compatibility with all tube type and tubeless tires on the market and maximum safety for drivers. Build with stainless steel butted spokes, with self-locking aluminum nipples and laced with the Two to One system to increase wheel strength.
