When you are waiting to board your dragon boat in the marshaling area during a competition or practice, you are not able to bring your paddle bag. During this waiting time, you are often waiting on an asphalt or rock surface. During this waiting period, the last thing you want to do is place the bottom of your paddle on the ground and lean on it, since it could damage the tip of your paddle.
